So, I've pretty much been awol for the past few like months or so, but I got a new account at oceanslaugh (I'd make a link but I can't.... stupid livejournal/computer issues...)
I post there pretty frequently, and it's public so if you actually care what I write about, feel free to add me. If not, why are we even friends in the first place?
Anyways, just thought I'd let you know.
I haven't posted in like a billion years, and felt it was time to say something, and let you guys know how I'm doing.
Ummm..... let's see.

So, we went to Milton High School, which looked more like Jefferson memorial than a high school. They had MARBLE COLUMNS, for crying out loud. But the inside looked like East High, from High School Musical. Whoa.
I think I did pretty well in my rounds, but I'll know how I really did on Monday or Tuesday......or whenever the drama teacher comes back to school. He has bronchitis, so it might be a while. But anyway, my friends said I did pretty well, so it couldn't have been that bad.
I liked a lot of the other pieces. There were two about eating disorders, one about killing, one about stalking, two about domestic abuse, and one that was a speech previously given by some famous guy.
Mine was called frozen, and it was about this woman who has to deal with facing a pedophile that killed her daughter. It's really sad and emotional, and a really good piece for DI. There's this one scene where I talk about holding my daughter's skull.
There were a few not-so-fun things. Like, there weren't really any other schools except maybe for or five, and at least seven kids from my school were in DI with me, so that made it a little difficult.
I didn't break for finals, but neither did quite a few people. This one girl that's kinda like the Sharpay of my school (except not as bad--just that she's in all of the school's productions) didn't break, and neither did the girl who had the peice with stalking. Which really surprised me. I honestly think she probably did the best job. Whatev. I'm not really that upset about not winning, because it's really not a big deal. I'm just sad I waited so long to do this. I'd forgotten how much I actually enjoy being in front of an audience, and having them watch me, and telling them my story, and trying to move them just a little bit. It made me feel..... alive, almost. I've been stressed a lot lately, and acting today, I forgot all of my problems.
Oh my gosh. I think I've been bitten by the acting bug. Again.
Hope this wasn't too long or boring. Just thought I'd let you all know what I've been up to.

We were in class, and people were talking about TV shows, and JS mentioned about how Jim was his favorite character, and wanted to be just like him.
How does this matter, you ask? Well, I have a job as a receptionist... JUST LIKE PAM. Plus, she's one of my favorite characters. And just the other week I was telling my friends about how Jim would be my favorite fictional guy to be in a relationship with.
So, yeah. Just more scary proof of the fact that we have paired up without actually pairing up.
Although it's not really proof. Maybe I just wanted it to be, because I thought he was cute. It probably doesn't mean anything. I mean, he's one of the popular, sporty guys, no matter how smart he is. And I'm one of the geeky kids that just happen to be in his class. Plus, a bunch of these girls like him. Not that I have a thing for him, or anything. But i noticed that. AND, he's always talking to one of my friends, and I think he might like her a little, sooo........ it's pretty much pointless.
Oh well. It's not like this has never happened before.

The other day, I was looking through the character gallery for John Smith on the special features section of the new Pocahontas DVD. They had all these older versions of previous ideas for what John Smith would look like, and one of them looked EXACTLY like this guy in my class (who is actually really cute). AND, he was John Smith in a history presentation.
Coincidence? I think not.
We are totally meant to be. lol!

Happy New Year!!!
Well, my new year wasn't that great, but hopefully everyone else's was. I actually decided to come up with real resolutions that could be accomplished, so I'm pretty proud of that.
They are:
1. Stop biting my lips.
2. Watch less mindless television (ie Tila Tequila, anything mentioning Britney Spears, etc)
3. Finish two fics and start at least one more.
4. No more procrastination. Seriously!
5. Post to LJ at least once every two weeks.
Okay, so number four might be a problem, but I think I could do the other four.
In other news, I just watched this movie The Invisible last night, and oh how I love it! It was really great. I'm not usually into scary/suspense-filled movies, but I handled the violence well and was able to really get into the movie. The ending was beyond sad, but it made sense to me at the same time. I don't really want to go into too much more detail so that I don't give anything away, but I advise eveyone to watch it. It is seriously underappreciated.
So, yeah. That's all for now.

I've been reading a lot of Office fanfiction, which is cool because I got Seasons 1 and 2 for Christmas. I also got Boy Meets World, season 1. Yay for Minkus! And crazy Topanga. Oh gosh, I can't believe she was arrested for a DUI, it seems too weird. But yeah.
I'm trying to be on LJ more, and join more comm and stuff, so I'm taking the initiative by posting more. I think that's probably going to be one of my New Year's resolutions.
Why do we do those anyway? No one ever keeps them.
If anyone has some reccomendations for a good Office fic, or evena George/Luna fic (because that's like, my OTP), please let me know.

Therefore, America celebrates by having huge parades and slaughtering Turkeys and stuffing their faces with as much food as possible.
However, what seems to be overlooked is that less than a month those ungrateful cheats of immigrants that called themselves Pilgrims sent their new, kind, accomodating neighbors the Native Americans smallpox blankets as a "token of gratitude".
Who the hell sends smallpox with a thank-you note? Those people obviously didn't have manners.
Anyway, so the Pilgrims decide that slaughtering the Indigenous population of Plymouth is simply not enough--so, in fact this was just the tip of the iceberg. Since then, they and their other settler friends cheated Native Americans out of their land, forced them into slavery, and murdered them. It even led to the Trail of Tears, among other "voluntary" migrations. And we as acountry celebrate this.
Some call it genocide; I call it Thanksgiving.

I finally got around to posting my Harry and the Potters article.
Here's Sarah's cameo:
Were you one of the many loyal Harry Potter fans who stayed up the night the last book came out? You probably put everything aside, including sleep, to finish it. You cried when you learned what happened to your favorite characters. You then sat in shock realizing there would be no more Harry Potter novels, and that the next movie won’t be out in a year and a half. You may have even cried because of it.
It is more than likely you also suffered from Post-Potter Depression. The term, invented by a group on Facebook, has come to define the feeling of restlessness Harry Potter fans feel now that the series they grew up with is over.
But wait! There is a cure, in the form of year four Harry and year seven Harry, otherwise known as Joe and Paul DeGeorge of Harry and the Potters. This amazingly creative band is just one group of a subgenre of music known as Wizard Rock. Wizard Rock artists all write about the Harry Potter books from the point of view of various characters in the series. Roonil Wazlib, Remus and the Lupins, Draco and the Malfoys, and the Luna Lovegoods are among the artists in Wizard Rock. However, Harry and the Potters are the most well-known.
It all started one day five years ago when at a
Since then, they have toured across
Fans of Harry and the Potters have great enthusiasm about the group. “I found out about them on MySpace and got a CD from a friend and got hooked on it. They’re awesome live and so unique,” Hayden Stanford, a junior, said, who saw the band when they came to Masquerade last year. “I have songs from pretty much all of their albums.”
“My favorite song is ‘Stick it to Dolores’,” Lauren Major, a sophomore, stated. “They’re really funny, and they give good concerts.”
Sarah Batchelor, an aspiring actress from
“I went and saw Harry and the Potters back in July and they were simply amazing. [They are] just really fun to sing along to and really funny. The band has this amazing energy that makes you want to jump and scream as much as them.”
Most of the venues Harry and the Potters perform are of very little or no cost. They usually play in places like libraries or bookstores. However, they have also played at a doughnut shop and a hot dog place.
With clever songs taken from passages of the various books in the series, such as “Save Ginny Weasley”, “This Book Is So Awesome”, and “The Human Hosepipe”, Harry Potter fans can find another element of the whole Harry Potter experience to enjoy. As Stanford explained, “I’m a big Harry Potter fan and [Harry and the Potters] are a fun addition to the Harry Potter world.
Makes me happy!

My articles for my newspaper formerly known as "The Silver Lining" (I will not give you the new name of the paper because it embarrasses me...) are due tomorrow, as is a lab write-up and a summary of the black cat. So what am i doing now? Posting on Livejournal. Way to go, dork. You really know how to stay motivated.
Is it just me, or is it really hard to write something just because you have to? I feel like I can only work when I have a really super awesome idea for something. Which really sucks when it comes to writing papers and stuff.
I think I might be coming down with another ear infection. Seriously, I have permanent ear damage because of all the ear infections I had when I was little. Plus, my shins are hurting so super much, too. I wouldn't be surprised if something was wrong there, too.
Although, knowing me and the fact that I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, the only thing wrong with me is that there's just a tad of a problem in my ear. Whatev.
I recently wrote a short little one-shot for a community, but I don't know how to load it up. Does anyone else?

Haha - two new friends since I last posted. Slowly but surely, i am getting more popular.
So, the other night i was baby-sitting for this fourth grader named Emily and her brother Brian, and she was telling me about how she loves icons and avatars, and she mentioned that she made some. So, out of curiosity and becuase I knew she was so proud of her work, I asked to see them.
And they were Good. Seriously, it was really hard to believe a fourth-grader had made these icons.
She also showed me her favorite Harry Potter icons and avatars, and I think at that moment I died and went to Heaven.
Nothing is as amazing as a picture of Daniel Radcliffe with his arms out at his sides, with a caption that says, "Near... far...wherever you aaare! --Shut up Harry!" That made my life. I also found some really great Pocahontas ones, where she's flipping her hair back and forth.....
I may have neglected to mention that I am Pocahontas. No seriously. I am. I watch that movie, and all of her characteristics are exactly like me, and the way she feels about life is the same way i feel.
Plus, I kinda look like her. Except, that, you know, I'm not an indian princess.
I'm still writing my articles, and I was wondering if any of you guys listen to Harry and the Potters? I still need quotes to explain their awesomeness, because the Abercrombie & Fitch clones at my school have no idea what the hell Wizard Rock is. Alas, I fear it is up to me to explain the wonders of Harry and the Potters to their poor lost souls. Which kinda sucks, because I'm not a very good teacher. I remember this one time in seventh grade when i had to tutor this popular girl is a subject that wasn't my strongest, and I didn't dramatically improve her grades, so she hated me.
As you can probably tell, I've had some bad experiences in middle school with the so-called "popular" people. Now all of them are druggies and I'm laughing at their lack of a future.
Anyways, hopefully this has entertained you, and if not, well then I'm sorry I'm boring.
See you later!

I am exhausted right now. School has this really weird way of draining all the energy from you.
In the past week, I've had two tests, two quizzes, and two papers due. Junior year really sucks. And now i have to do an essay tomorrow and i have no idea what it's going to be on because my teacher feels the need to surprise us. Even though we're supposed to have all this background information on the topic, which i can't know because I don't know what the topic is about!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr.........
I just reread my last two entries, and my spelling is terrible. Not like anyone is reading this now, considering i only have one friend at this time, but whatever.
I saw this really awesome picture from Harry Potter the other day, and now the saying in the picture is my motto.
High School Musical wasn't as good as i thought it would be. Actually, it was more like a string of badly made music videos. It didn't even have a plot. Plus, it was Troyella the whole time. I mean, I like Troyella, but i need a balance of other couples, and i just didn't see that.
Haha -- In other news, my friend and I decided that we grow up, we're going to marry the Phelps twins. She gets James and I have Oliver. We have this whole inside joke that we're going to spend the summer before college in England and stalk the Phelps brothers. But I swear we're really not. I promise we're not htat freaky.
On another note, I'm writing an article for my newspaper about Harry and the Potters. I'm so flippin' excited!!!!
Now, I wish i could stay and chat all day, but I've really got to get back to work on my essay and my paper due in another class. Wish me luck tomorrow!!
Oh -- here's the picture i was telling you about:
Sooooo true.
PEACE!

The only thing though, is that I'm really not looking forward to seeing Vanessa Hudgens parade around acting like she's hot shit. I mean, whe was great as Gabriella in the first movie, but I really don't think she's going to be the same this time around. And it bugs me.
And while we're on the topic of things that bug me, here's another one.
Two days ago, when I was at dance, I was just talking to my teacher because no one lse showed up. This isn't really awkward, because I've had this teacher for years and she's only in her late twenties, so we're not that far apart in age. So we're talking about school and stuff adn she asks me if i have a boyfriend. I tell her no, for of course I am chronically single, and then she asks, all surprised, "Why not?"
What am i supposed to say to that? What can I say? Is it my fault if all the guys i go for never like me back? I'm sorry that I'm so unlovable! I can't help it.
Another funny story is about the kid formerly known as The Hot One. See, last year, my friends and I had our own "adopted" freshmen, that we watched and made fun of. We had Mohawk Dude aka MD, Riverdance Dude aka RD, the Quirky Kid, Dirt, and The Hot One. After a while of watching them, we found out that they're all basically on drugs, and that made us pissed. That's when i realized i had the SAME EXACT HAIRCUT as The Hot One.
I guess I should explain more about the Hot One. He's this skater guy that came in the middle of the year last year, and he was HOT. He had great hair, really pretty eyes, and looked really mysterious. So automaically, my friends and I feel it's fun to semi-stalk him at lunch time. So, one day, after we've been drooling over him for like three months, we leanred the truth. And we felt betrayed. Which really, we shouldn't, because we don't know him.
So when i found out i had the same hair as him, I HAD to tell him. So i did, on the last full day at schol. And he looked at me like i was a freak, and never wanted to see me again. I laughed it off, because the look on his face was priceless. But the next day, I saw him again, after i had finished a five-minute screaming match against my backpack.
Yeah. Not too cool. But when I told my friend about it, see thought it was cute and joking said he was probably in love with me now.
So, yesterday, I finally saw him. He had cut his hair and dyed it my color. His hair looked JUST LIKE MINE!!!!! I started laughing out loud, it was so funny.
My friend from lunch decided it must be because he's in love with me.
I wonder if he'll sign my yearbook?
